I have always had a passion for learning and personal growth. I began community college after high school in 2007, but life took me in a different direction before I was able to complete my education. During that time, I built a long career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant while raising my children as a single mother.
In 2019, I made the decision to return to school and finish what I started. I completed my Associate degree at Spokane Community College and later earned my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences through Arizona State University, whose flexible online programs made it possible to balance full-time work, family, and education.
Through ASU’s undergraduate research opportunities, I discovered a passion for research, genomics, and data-driven problem solving. These experiences gave me hands-on exposure to laboratory methods, bioinformatics tools, scientific writing, and independent research.
Today, I work in clinical research while pursuing a master’s degree in Biological Data Science. My interests include clinical trials, translational research, genomics, and improving patient outcomes through science. I care deeply about making research more approachable, relatable, and useful to the people whose lives it is intended to improve.
As I continue building my career, I am actively seeking opportunities that support international relocation, particularly in the United Kingdom or Canada.
