About
Chelsea is a biological sciences graduate from Arizona State University, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2025 and was accepted into the Biological Data Sciences graduate program. She is passionate about learning through scientific research and motivated by the belief that knowledge, when applied thoughtfully, can improve lives and communities.
As an online student at ASU, Chelsea gained extensive experience preparing research materials, synthesizing complex scientific information, and working across multiple areas of study. She has conducted research remotely through both innovative laboratory models and genomic bioinformatics, strengthening her interest in the intersection of biology and data science.
Alongside her academic journey, Chelsea spent fifteen years working as a nurse’s assistant, supporting patients through critical illness, assisting elderly individuals during vulnerable periods, and maintaining stability in emotionally demanding healthcare settings. This experience has shaped her ability to work under pressure, collaborate with diverse teams, and approach scientific and technical problems with empathy and resilience.
Growing up in a military family and living in many different places shaped Chelsea’s adaptability and appreciation for diverse perspectives. Now based in Savannah, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading scientific literature, and exploring new environments. She is seeking opportunities that allow her to combine her foundation in biological sciences with her developing skills in data science and research.
